Abstract: Based on the panel data of 91 countries from 2009 to 2019, we used CO2 emissions per capita as a proxy variable to estimate environment and took BRI as a quasi-natural experiment. This paper applies difference-in-difference method and decoupling analysis to examine the effects on environmental quality and economic growth of BRI countries from a dual perspective. The result shows that BRI is conducive to improving the environmental quality of RBI countries.
